One Month Home

Whew!!!!  I've been meaning to update the blog for a while now but I'm having a hard time finding just a few free minutes in the day!  We've had a lot going on with doctors appointments and starting back to (home)school with Tyler.  Emma is doing great and fits so perfectly into our family.  She has attached beautifully and will now go to Shawn without a fuss and in fact will choose him much of the time!  A huge relief for this mom as I was becoming exhausted.

Her personality shines through more and more every day.  In just the six weeks she has been with us she has gone from being so much like a baby to being so much like a little girl.  It's like she is rocketing through all the stages she missed while living in her orphanage.  She could hardly walk and now she is quite steady on her feet.  She couldn't handle the stairs at all and has gone from crawling and scooting on them to walking up holding on the spindles or my fingers.  She gave up her bottle!!  She is trying to use her potty chair and is also getting very good at telling what she does and doesn't want.  She has a fabulous sense of humor and keeps us entertained!

Tyler is doing great and loves being a big brother.  We just occasionally have to remind him that he is not the parent ;)

Some pictures of our first few weeks at home....

Wants to be like big brother...

First K-State game...a little sweaty

First Sonic slush...I think she likes it!

Wants to pick out her own food ;)

LOVES the piano!

Maybe she needs her own running shoes?

A little unsure?
