Such a sweet girl!!

Yesterday (Tuesday) found us busy in the morning with official appointments.  First we had to go back to the civil affairs office to finish up the paperwork and to make the adoption official!  A very exciting moment but very chaotic as there were many families.  Then it was on to the notary office for more document signing.  I can't tell you how impressed we are with our guide, Jane!  She makes the process as stress free as possible.  Our guide the last time was good, but I can say from experience that this time has gone so much smoother!

After finishing up with all of that, the families collectively decided lunch from KFC was in order.  We were all more than ready for a break from the hotel food, which isn't bad, but pretty limited.  We took the food back to the hotel room to eat and Xing Yi (we haven't transitioned to calling her Emma yet) was more than ready for a nap.  (If you are wondering how to say her name - it's pronounced like Shing Yee).  She is a tired girl.  We can't wait to get her home for the medical care she needs.  She slept for three hours.  Shawn and Tyler's trip to the pool was thwarted by the afternoon thunderstorms that seem to roll through everyday, so they hung out with another family helping with some IT issues.  A quick dinner down in the the hotel restaurant and back up to the room to Skype with my parents, Shawn's mom, and our friends Robyn and Reed and we were ready to call it a day!

The plan for today is a tour of the countryside.  Our guide said this would be good for us to see how the people live in rural China and that if we were lucky we would get to see inside a farmers home.   I will try to get a timely post up of our day this time.  I've been struggling to stay awake past 9pm at this point!

I will leave you with some random pictures from our day.....

Not too sure about being back in this building....
