Happy 4th!!!! We are leaving in two weeks!!!

I can't believe how everything has come together in the last couple of days!!! We are booking our flights right now and will be leaving on July 19th headed to China. We will arrive in Emma's city on July 20 (actually it will be 12:30 am on July 21) and we will meet her for the first time on July 22. It's hard to believe that in less than a month she will be home with us and all of the paperwork, planning, and dreaming will turn into a new reality for our family. As much as we think about her and imagine what she might be like, we know from experience that a child who has lived another life in another country for any amount of time comes to us with their own personality, preferences, and beliefs. It will be a huge adjustment for all of us but one we will make a day at a time. We can only hope that the care package with the letter and photo album that we sent has made it's way to her and that her caregivers have been able to show it to her and tell her about what is going to happen and prepare her for our family. I will post more later when we have the details finalized. I just wanted to take the opportunity to share the news that everything has fallen into place as we had hoped for. And since I'm at it I might as well leave you with some pictures of sweet Emma today....and hopefully I will have some new one's by next week!
