Trip to the countryside

With all of our paperwork complete here in the province, today we all took to the countryside.  Our guide (Jane) took us to a farming area just outside of Nanning.  Here, we were able to see how rural China lives and works.  As you can see from the pictures below, this farmer's market is much different from the one you'll find in your town in the states.

On our way to a farmhouse just outside the market area, we were able to enjoy some beautiful scenery.  Take a look at these shots...

We were able to find a farmer that gave us a tour through her home and farm.  It was an eye opening experience to see the difference in their living style compared to the luxuries we generally call necessities.

Along the way few found a few moments for some great photo opportunities as well...

This has to be one of my favorites...

Look at that form...
In all the trip was very educational, but taxing as well.  We stopped at a local shop that sold jade necklaces and picked up a few gifts for the kids.  Back to the hotel now for some lunch...
